Engineered for Continuous Availability and High-Density Compute
The IW-RN424-04 is a 4U dual-node SAS4 rackmount server designed to support continuous enterprise workloads. Featuring 24 Gbps SAS4 storage connectivity per node and hot-swappable compute nodes, it supports flexible connection to all 24 drive bays through independent or shared configurations, delivering high-bandwidth storage performance and streamlined serviceability for HPC, AI, and media applications.

Resilience and Serviceability
Designed to support uninterrupted service, the dual-node architecture features two independent hot-swappable compute nodes that can operate as separate systems or as a redundant pair, depending on the system configuration, simplifying maintenance and minimizing service disruption.
SAS4 Backplane
The SAS4 backplane delivers 24 Gbps storage connectivity per node through a flexible dual-node storage architecture. Depending on system configuration, both compute nodes can share the full pool of 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch SAS drives or independently access all 24 drive bays, enabling high-speed data transfer and scalable storage capacity.
Dual-Node Architecture
Featuring dedicated SAS4 expanders, optional NTB connectivity, and independent PSU backplanes, this architecture enables high-bandwidth storage connectivity, node-to-node communication, and independent power delivery. Both nodes can operate independently with dedicated storage configurations or be configured as a redundant pair with shared access to the 24-bay storage, providing flexible deployment and streamlined serviceability for enterprise and HPC workloads.
Dual SAS4 Expanders
Each compute node connects to a dedicated SAS4 expander via two MCIO (8i) interfaces, providing 24 Gbps high-bandwidth connectivity to all 24 drive bays.
NTB Connectivity
Supports an optional Non-Transparent Bridging (NTB) module for direct node-to-node communication, enabling seamless data sharing and coordinated workload processing.
Independent PSU Backplanes
Dedicated PSU backplanes allow each compute node to be powered and serviced independently while the other node remains operational.
Efficient Cooling for Dual Nodes
Four high-performance 60 × 38 mm PWM fans per node provide direct airflow across the CPU, memory, and storage components, maintaining thermal stability under sustained enterprise workloads.
Enterprise-Class Power Architecture
Comes standard with 2700W 80 PLUS® Titanium CRPS units. Dedicated PSU backplanes and organized internal cable routing ensure reliable power distribution, simplified maintenance, and improved power availability.
